Primary Objective:
Provide consultant level management of inpatients admitted under a General Medical Unit within RDH. This will encompass the assessment of acute general medical inpatients, appropriate investigation and formulation of a management plan. High level of leadership skills will be required to manage a large team of junior staff in a busy unit. An exceptional understanding of complex discharge planning and willingness to engage ambulatory care services to ensure timely discharges will be required in our challenging environment. This is a part time vacancy available for 0.8 (28 hrs and 30 mins) per week. Selection will be made at the SC or SSC level depending on the qualifications or experience of the successful applicant.
